CANADA'S STUDY PERMIT APPLICATION

A study permit is an official document issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) that allows international students to study at designated learning institutions (DLIs) in Canada. Below is an overview of the application process:

ELIGIBILTY REQUIREMENTS 

To be eligible for a study permit, you must:

  • Have a letter of acceptance from a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) in Canada.

  • Prove you have enough financial resources to:

    • Pay for tuition fees.

    • Cover living expenses for yourself and any accompanying family members.

    • Afford return transportation for yourself and accompanying family members.

  • Have no criminal record and, if required, provide a police certificate.

  • Be in good health and complete a medical exam, if requested.

  • Convince the visa officer that you will leave Canada at the end of your authorized stay.
